Ryan Bros. Trucking Receives GWC Platinum Safety Award

We are honored to announce that Ryan Bros. Trucking has been awarded Great West Casualty Company’s Platinum Safety Award!

Every year, trucking companies who qualify to be insured by Great West Casualty Company (GWC) are given the opportunity to submit their safety records for consideration. At Ryan Bros., we know that it’s an honor to be insured by GWC in the first place — they are incredibly selective about who they insure. 

Ryan Bros. Safety Director Adam Estenson says “GWC doesn’t insure everybody. You're already in the top tier just by being insured by them. You’re putting yourself in with all the other motor carriers that are toward the top of safety and compliance.”

The details that GWC looks at for this award include crashes per million miles and frequency of roadside inspections, and Ryan Bros. passed both of these tests with flying colors.

In March, Adam was given the Supervisor of the Year award by the Wyoming Trucking Association, but he insists that this award was far more than a solo effort. “This award is really a team deal,” he says. “You can have the best safety program in the world, but if your people in the trucks don't adopt it, then it’s not worth the paper it’s printed on.”
